On offer is this great vintage Marrantz receiver. Its an 80s vintage unit finished in silver coloured brushed metal front panel and wood effect case.
The unit is full hi-fi sized measuring approx 46.5cm wide, 15.5cm high and 34cm deep.
************************************************************The unit is faulty and in need of full repair and overhaul. however, the front panel and case are in pretty good condition and the unit does have some life in it – its been checked over briefly with a pair of headphones and it appears to work on the left-hand channel but very little but low hum/crackle from the right.Please be aware that the unit is faulty and will require repair and servicing.
The unit also requires a mains plug and lead. Please see photograph of socket at the rear of the unit.
The unit is in pretty good physical condition for its age. The front manual has just the odd minor scuff and scratch mark from light use. There are some minor dinks and scratch marks along the top metal edge of the front panel.The wooden effect main case is also in pretty good condition with some scuffs and scratches.
*************************************************************The receiver is in the usual style with a full sized tuning windows across the top half of the unit showing AM and FM. There is also a tuning strength meter.Along the bottom half of the unit are rotary knobs for bass, middle and treble tones controls, input selector and concentric rotary volume and balance controls.
Between are push buttons for speaker election, filter, loudness, FM mode and a large marantz style thumbwheel tuner knob.There are also needle style output power meters on the left hand end of the unit along with a headphone socket.
On the rear of the unit are standard stereo phono sockets for aux, tape and phono inputs.There are also two sets of spring speaker terminals that accept bare wires.As noted above the mains connection is via a 2 pin connector. The matching mains lead is NOT included. The correct mains lead will need to be sourced.
