At the heart of the Marantz CD6005 is a top quality Delta Sigma CS4398 DAC. Marantz has added its own HDAM SA2 output buffer and HDAM low pass filter stage, which are custom-designed to work to exacting and very high standards giving reduced noise levels and a highly detailed, accurate sound. The power supply features separate rectifiers on the analogue and digital circuitry for reduced interference between the two, while the casing has a solid metal base plate to virtually eliminate vibration.
Enhanced USB
The CD6005 features an improved USB socket, which now has the ability to handle high quality WAV files. In addition to playing back and charging iPod/iPhone devices, it will now charge iPads. Once connected, your portable device will use the Marantz’s high quality digital processing, so improving its sound too.
