3000i Series tweeters are decoupled from the baffle via a compliant suspension system. Vibrations from the woofer, which can impair the performance of the tweeter are isolated allowing the tweeter to perform with dramatically reduced interference.
Mid/Bass Driver
Whichever 3000i model you choose the cone is precision formed from impregnated and coated paper and teamed with a newly developed, low-hysteresis, rubber surround. The coated paper cone provides the optimum balance between stiffness and self- damping which means it can accelerate without flexing and stop very accurately without unwanted resonances.Transparent, Uncoloured Audio
The 3000 Series boasts improved drivers which deliver exceptional bass extension and midrange openness and a new ‘2 in 1’, Concentric Ring Dome tweeter which adds astonishingly clear and smooth high frequencies. Performance is further enhanced, both sonically and aesthetically, by the partnering of stands and spikes across the range designed to create less movement from the speaker, resulting in a more pure and unaltered sound.
Punchy & Agile Sound
At the heart of the 3000 are new drive units. Starting at the top, the new Ring Dome tweeters provide a more accurate response, for precise reproduction of even the most subtle aspects of music. The tweeter units are decoupled from the rest of the cabinet, meaning that they aren’t affected by vibration from the bass unit. Reducing vibration in the cabinet is extremely important in delivering the purest sound. A marked improvement from the 3000 Series predecessor is the new Aramid fibre/paper woofer cone.
