Young is a highperformance, very high value for the money D/A converter capable of handling upto 384kHz sampling rate and 32 bits resolution (USB input). It features a high speed asynchronous USBinput based on the hiface technology, further developed to allow for highersampling rates. A comprehensive inputset (S/PDIF on RCA and BNC, AES/EBU on XLR and optical on Toslink) providegreat connection versatility. Despiteits price, Young encompasses a leading edge technology for data handling andprocessing. A high performanceoversampling filter, custom made on a programmable logic device (FPGA)implements minimum-phase filters optimized for sound quality which allow for avery low noise floor. A 32 bits – D/Aintegrated circuit is used in a non-conventional mode to allow for 768kHzinternal operation. The synergy betweenthe DAC IC and the custom oversampler allows for exceptionally low noise floorand THD. The output buffer uses aspecial operational amplifier with very low noise and THD due to its class Abiased output stage. The small size andstylish look of the Young allow for a uninvasive placement in every livingspace.
