We buy customer returns, clearance and overstock products. Since we buy in bulk, we’re able to pass on the savings to you. Much of our current stock is from Argos, Sainsbury’s, Curry’s, John Lewis, Littlewoods and similar big names, but we’re adding new suppliers regularly as our business grows.
Clearance and overstocks are usually brand new products in their original packaging, although sometimes the box may have been damaged in transit or in the warehouse so it doesn’t even make it to the shop’s shelves. Customer returns can be intact if the customer has simply changed their mind or received the wrong item, but generally they have been opened. If the product has been opened or the box has been damaged, we will always open it, check the contents, and test anything electrical or mechanical (there seriously are NERF bullets all over our offices!).
PRODUCT CONDITION
This product is classed as ‘New – Other’ or ‘Opened – Never Usd’ (depending on ebay category)
This will be a perfectly working product, with all accessories, but the box will have been opened or torn. In some cases, the original box may not be present, or not worth keeping, but there is no damage to the product. The original stores do not provide reasons for customer returns – usd/broken, change of mind, wrong size, etc, so we thoroughly inspect everything. If there is no evidence that the product has been usd, we will list it as ‘New – Other’ or ‘Opened – Never Usd’ (depending on ebay category).
PRODUCT IMAGES
As our business has grown, it has become impractical to photograph every item. We also carry many of the same product, and the condition of the boxes can vary greatly. We’ll make it clear when any accessories are missing.
We will often use the original product images, so you’ll see exactly the same pictures as you’d see on Argos, John Lewis, Amazon, etc. We guarantee that every image is an accurate reflection of the product (except for the box) unless we explicitly state otherwise in the description. It also means we can keep our costs down and continue to bring you big discounts on big brand names.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Our view is that you have searched for this product, so you know roughly what you want. You will have read the product descriptions on other websites like Argos or Amazon, or you can easily find them. Everyone tends to use the same text supplied by the manufacturer, so repeating it on our listings is wasting your time. It also adds to our costs.
INSTRUCTION MANUALS
Our products do not always have the original instructions. Where they are available, they will be included with your purchase. Where they are not available, they are generally available in electronic format (PDFs) from the manufacturer’s website (just Google the product name followed by “instructions” or “manual”). Or, if you don’t receive one and would like one, let us know and we will send you one by email. We do keep at least one manual for each product so if necessary we can scan it and email it to you.
Please note that we don’t consider a user manual as an accessory, so products that we list as ‘New – Other’ may still not have the instructions with them, but all the parts will be present.
BATTERIES
Where products such as toys or TV remotes require batteries, customers tend to ‘forget’ to put them back if they return the product. We don’t replace batteries, partly to help reduce costs, but also due to the postage restrictions from many of the carriers. Batteries that are still sealed as they were from the manufacturer will be left with the product, but generally, if you get batteries AND an instruction manual with a product that is anything other than ‘New – Other’, you might want to go and get a lottery ticket, since your luck’s obviously in today 😉
WARRANTY and CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Regardless of condition, we offer 3 months’ warranty on all our products. Any issues at all, just get in touch and we’ll work with you to sort things out. We are proud of our feedback for customer service and would ask you to contact us first if you have any reason to leave negative feedback. We will do whatever we can to resolve any issues.
PRODUCT PACKAGING
Please consider that we cannot guarantee that the original packaging will be intact, or even present. The box will always have been opened. We will always package the product so it is protected during transit, even if it still has the original box. If you intend to give this product as a gift, we strongly recommend you consider buying it brand new from the original store if we don’t offer it as New – we would rather the recipient is totally happy, and you come back to us for the next item.
DELIVERY OPTIONS
We have grown rapidly, and as of January 2020 we have outsourced all our product delivery to a fulfilment partner. We now offer two standard options for delivery:
1. 2-3 day fully tracked – usually Royal Mail’s ‘Tracked 48’ service. This is free for all customers.
2. We also offer a Next Day service, which is usually Royal Mail’s ‘Tracked 24’ service. There is a 2 charge for this. Please note that the cut-off time for orders requiring Next Day service is 2pm Mondays to Fridays. Please contact us for any urgent orders and we will do our very best to help, but cannot guarantee that orders placed after 2pm can be delivered the next (working) day.
