Kef Reference Model 1 speakers (black ash) in excellent condition. The foam suspension rings of the downward firing internal woofers were inspected about a year ago and found to be in superb condition with no sign of foam disintegration – highly unusual and I can only assume that the previous owner had them replaced (a relatively straight forward procedure). I spoke to Kef and this is also their view since foam disintegration is a common problem with these twenty year old speakers. Custom built stands (90) included free in case you want to raise them off the floor. They sound wonderful (I also own the Reference 3s in my main hi-fi system). Pick up only from Birmingham I’m afraid – they are immensely heavy.
