This is a sale for the components of my KEF Speaker System. A this separates system is comprised of a total of 9 speakers in total – which originally cost me approx. 3,500 or so. I am selling them separately or in pairs where appropriate at present and will not consider a bulk sale of the complete set unless the right offer is made.
This is a no-reserve auction. A single bid will secure the purchase once the starting price is met.
The speakers which are for sale are from the KEF Q series in Black-Oak colours with removable black mesh front covers, a brochure is here – http://www.kef.com/uploads/files/2013_q/Q_EN_path_preview_150113.pdf – I would recommend reading it if you are not familiar with KEF or the Q series. All the speakers are 8ohm impedance. The speakers or newer versions of them are still available to buy but at a limited number of outlets but now seem to cost around or more than 5K make as close as I can match them.
For sale are the following models all auctions are listed at the time time but will finish 10-15 minutes apart or so –
2 x Q500 Front Speakers, 40Hz-40kHz (being sold as a pair)
1 x Q200c Centre Speaker, 50Hz-40kHz
2 x Q800ds Side Dipole Speakers, 100Hz-40kHz (being sold as a pair)
2 x Q300 Rear Speakers, 42Hz-40kHz (being sold as a pair)
2 x Q400b Powered Sub-Woofers, 28Hz-140Hz (being sold separately)
This auction is for a PAIR (2) of KEF Q300 rear bookshelf speakers – ONLY, none of the others which are in separate auctions.
The speakers are approx 6-7 years old but have not been used for the last 2 years or so due to redecorating work and are now superfluous – they weren’t used much before that either – just for watching films when connected to an Onkyo receiver.
The speakers had an excellent (to my ears) sound as part of a 7.2 home-theatre setup as is to be expected from a famous name like KEF. There are plenty of reviews around ion google available to read for more details. Your ears might hear things differently but I do not believe so.
The speakers stand 35cm tall with a top profile of 21cm x 30cm and weigh 7.7kg each. They are in perfect condition and come from a child/pet/smoke free home. The front mesh grill is removable for those who like to see the domes of the drivers but they have always been fitted/installed to keep the drivers in perfect condition. The speakers include bypass filter inputs.
The speakers will ONLY be available for self collection or reasonably local delivery due to their size/weight – I will NOT ship them anywhere. They will come with the speaker and manual but no box other than the serial no label which I removed before scrapping the boxes. There will be no speaker cable included since lengths and type can/will vary so much. A thin covering of bubble-wrap and some cardboard will be used to add some level of protection for during transport.

Bids failing these criteria will be cancelled and the user blocked. This is a 10 day listing so no early termination offers please except for the complete set of KEF speakers in one go.
Goods will be available for free collection ONLY once funds fully clear. This will be from central Manchester weekday-evenings/weekends or I can deliver to ground/first floor locations within 50 miles of central Manchester for 15 for the pair – select the courier postage option for delivery. I will give a 50% reduction in delivery costs for multiple purchases. I can deliver slightly further away for a little more but only up to 75 miles or so (please ask before bidding and I will amend the cost on the invoice) thus avoiding any courier delays/problems/damage at each end.
If I have several deliveries to schedule it might be that I need to take a day or two or for a weekend before I can complete delivery.
