Designed especially by renowned design studio Marcel Wanders, these beautiful speakers feature a circular pattern that will illuminate once the lights are turned off. This pattern has been designed to present a structured, architectural-type pattern when viewed from a distance, instantly becoming a focal point in your home. This luminous pattern, much like the musical composition you are listening to, will come together to create a unified design that is to be marvelled at.
With their expert acoustic design and small enclosures, deliver clear, accurate and transparent sound that will guarantee a rich, multi-dimensional soundstage experience that is just as much intense as it is enjoyable. This acoustic design works to eliminate any cabinet vibration, sound radiation, resonance and colouration that may occur, via the FEA-designed cabinet, Uni-Q driver, constrained layer damping bracing, the precision-engineered curved baffle and elliptical flexible sound port, delivering a pristine listening experience as a result.
KEF’s patented Uni-Q technology creates a three-dimensional sound image, no matter in which position you are sitting, creating a sweet spot listening experience anywhere in the room. With the tweeter in the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, the KEF LS50 Nocturne Wireless will deliver a more detailed and accurate integrated three-dimensional sound image. The high and low frequencies of the KEF LS50 Nocturnes will hit your ears at exactly the right time, creating time corrected, accurate sound in all types of different rooms thanks to the advanced time correcting DSP crossover included and Uni-Q’s unique sound dispersion abilities; a feature which cannot currently be reproduced by any other active speaker.
Audiophile-grade technologies used in the KEF LS50 Nocturne Wireless Speakers include an end-to-end 192kHz/24-bit high-res digital signal path, a dedicated DAC per channel, streaming pre-amplifier and a 230-watt x2 amplification in a bi-amp dual mono configuration, all of which are factory-optimised to ensure the best, audiophile-grade sound possible. The end-to-end 192kHz/24-bit high-resolution digital signal path ensures that every piece of information from a high-res music source is reproduced fully and accurately, creating a signal path from the input to the amplifiers. The standard RJ45 termination for the interconnect cable between speakers and a Cat 6 shielded cable are included so that bandwidth and performance headroom are greatly improved, rejecting noise and electromagnetic compatibility, promising consistent high-quality performance. The KEF LS50 Nocturne Wireless Speakers include a selectable EQ that offers tuning for the compensation of different mounting scenarios, listening environments, and allowing for more options when it comes to placement and positioning of the speakers.
The quality of the KEF LS50 Nocturne is not impeded by any stressful installation, with a setup that has been made as easy as possible thanks to Kef’s Plug and Play method. Connecting to your sources has been made just as easy, with a wide range of connectivity options available to you, such as the 2.4GHz/5GHz Dual-Band Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth apt-X 4.0, Asynchronus USB Type B, TOSLINK Optical and RCA Analogue. These options allow you to connect up to 12 devices, with a maximum 8 Bluetooth devices open to you, allowing you to switch between inputs conveniently. The included remote control or the touch sensitive control panel located on the top of the KEF LS50 Nocturne Wireless Speakers allows for simple user control.
