Providing a compact solution to the problem of Hi-Fi quality sound from an in-wall/ceiling speaker, the Ci80QR consists of a polypropylene cone LF driver with the HF unit mounted at the acoustic center of the LF unit. The bezel and grill can be painted to match the interior dcor.The quality of a speaker is no lessimportant just because its out of sight – in fact, withceiling-mounted units, it can be more so. Designed to smoothlyintegrate and architecturally match with existing downlightingsharing the same size bezel, KEFs trademark Uni-Qtechnology has a decisive performance advantage in theseapplications, because each point source driver array evenly dispersesthe sound, ensuring a smooth frequency response over a large area tocreate a spacious three-dimensional soundscape with genuine textureand depth.
With a Uni-Q array of 80mm (3in.), the Ci80QR is assatisfyingly musical to hear as it is neat in appearance.The 13.8cmdeep detachable back-can supplied with the product, provides a sealedenclosure of 0.35 litres volume for optimum low frequencyreproduction. Sprung fixing clips give flexibility of installation inceilings and walls varying in thickness from 6mm to 30mm.
