Good build quality with all metal casing and chassis and brushed aluminium fascia with metal solid knobs. Nice, very solid piece of silver hi-fi with classic late 70s retro appeal. Good working order: all switches and potentiometers treated; no crackles, silent spots or poor switching.Fascia very good with a few minor marks; case has a few marks on top. On the front fascia from left to right: power on with pilot light, headphone jack socket, speaker on/off switch, tape 2 input/output phono sockets, bass and treble tone controls, balance, loudness, tape monitor and dubbing selector switches, volume, input selector. On the back from left to right: moving magnet input with ground wire screw, aux, tuner, Tape 1 in/out (phono or DIN); 2 pairs bare wire screw speaker terminals (4-16 Ohm impedance); hardwired mains lead with UK 3 pin mains plug.Sound is smooth, surprising weighty and powerful with good bass, good detail, separation and imaging with good placement of voices and instruments.
