Isotek GII Titan
The Isotek GII Titan is a reference-level mains conditioner featuring a 9 stage filter system, Polaris-X technology, high tech RCBO fusing, sophisticated leakage protection, full aluminium case and Clearlight Audio RDC feet. The unit is capable of delivering over 4,600 watts of continuous current and transients of up to 23,000 watts to provide a breathtaking level of performance.
What Hi-Fi magazine called the Isotek GII Titan the best upgrade they’d ever heard and awarded it 5 stars and a ‘Product of the Year’ award and with good reason too – for it is one of those products which once heard in your system is very difficult to live without.
Cost 2500 brand new. The current version (Titan Evo3) retails at 3750.
Isotek recommend the Titan be used in systems with a value of 12,500 – 30,000.
Expansion:
The GII Titan can be expanded with an Isotek Multi-Link (a dedicated 6-way mains block) increasing the number of outlets to 8. Alternatively any existing mains block can be attached to the Titan by replacing its mains plug with a Neutrik PowerCon connector (a very straightforward process). If using a different mains block, please ensure it is fitted with a high quality, high current mains cable.
Blurb from Isotek:
The IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner is a high quality filter designed specifically for power amplifiers. The filter has virtually unlimited power and because of this we are able to achieve a transient of 23,000 watts!

The new IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner dispenses with isolation transformer technology in favour of a direct-coupled design with a nine-stage series and parallel filter configuration. This is optimised for a high degree of common mode rejection, with the highest possible differential mode rejection compatible with low insertion losses. Great care has been taken to minimise insertion loss at mains frequency. Another asset of an isolation transformer would be a balanced supply, however the new circuit also offers these desirable characteristics, especially at high frequencies where it could be debated it possesses superior performance. To further ensure the greatest possible transient response, enough to realise 23,000 watts potential, two things out of the ordinary have been achieved. Firstly, the minimum constant running ability of the device is rated at over 4,600 watts. Secondly, the unit is fitted with an RCBO, this high tech electronic fusing offers huge transient overloads whilst remaining safe. It also has the added bonus of protecting power cords against long term overload conditions.

The IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner can be placed either on a dedicated shelf of an equipment support rack or in a position next to or near the power amplifier it supplies. Adequate ventilation should be given to the unit, therefore we would not recommend that it is covered or enclosed in a very tight space. It is also recommended that the unit is not used outside or in areas susceptible to damp conditions.

The IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner has been designed specifically for high current applications, especially power amplifiers. The IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner is so powerful in terms of transient ability that it is only limited by the network it is plugged into. At the rear of Titan are two dedicated outlets as well as an additional Neutrik out, this can be used to connect and additional distribution strip called Titan Multi-link which extends the IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner by an additional 6 sockets, ideal for surround sound systems where there is increased high current products, for example, active loudspeakers and sub woofers.

The IsoTek GII Titan mains conditioner should be used with its supplied power cord. Should users wish to change this for their own preferred brand the cable MUST be rated with a minimum of 16Amps. We strongly recommend that a good quality mains cable be used throughout your system. Look for a cable with good conductors, for example oxygen free copper, this cable should also possess a high degree of shielding from RFI.
