Custom built back loaded horns — using planet 10 modified and upgraded Fostex fe206en drivers — as per 4th picture , Mcap correction networks fitted inside and vox supertweeters ,Van Damm 2.5 wire used throughout , all in all absolutely stunning and @ 96-98db sensitivity !!!!
currently being driven by a 300b valve amp , many many hours were spent fine tuning these to the beautiful speakers they are today , I had them built for me by a cabinet maker from fostex plans
Baltic birch ply everywhere – they weigh about 35-40 kg each , these horns can and do produce such amazing bass along with breath-taking mids and vocals – razor sharp hi’s – I play all sorts but pink Floyd and the like sound incredible through these !!!
they are about a yr old now and its time for me to start tinkering with a new project !
there are mdf versions of these available @ about a grand EACH !!!!! yes !
they are 37in tall – 15in wide and 17in deep sitting on spikes – that can be removed
