The Minimus Infinity Ground Box
The Minimus Infinity is a brand new ground box from Entreq and is priced at 380.00
Entreq replaced their range of ground cables to the Infinity line around 18 months ago and now it is the turn of the ground boxes!
The Minimus Infinity is the same size as the original Minimus with a single post on the back, although in performance terms the new Minimus Infinity outperforms a Silver Minimus.
The old Silver Minimius is 480 and you can buy a Minimus Infinity and a Copper Infinity Ground Cable for 470 so it’s great value upgrade as well!
What do the Entreq Ground Boxes Do?
All hi-fi systems have unwanted pollutants in the signal path which get in the way of the delicate musical signal, this is caused by a number of factors such as poor power supplies in phones, router, computers, and devices like freezers, dryer and suchlike. Noisy devices such as these can inject noise into the signal path of your hi-fi making it sound congested, harsh and un-musical. All of these devices will have to some degree a negative effect on the overall performance of your system.
To connect a ground box to your audio system couldn’t be easier. You simply connect a ground cable to an appropriate unused socket on your amplifier, CD player, DAC etc and the other end of the cable connects to the outlet on the ground box via a simple spade connector.
This connection creates, in effect, a drain for each piece of connected equipment and it slowly removes the pollutants present in the signal path. It is quite often something you will hear straight away but more often that not you will notice changes after a few songs you know well have played. Best results are typically 24 hours after being connected.
Most people typically notice the drop in the noise floor first, the desire to increase volume is commonplace because of this. A reduction in coarseness and grain (even when you don’t think it is present) and the creation of a inky black background is another thing which often occurs. They make the sound more detailed, more dynamic but at the same time calmer and more refined with greater levels of texture and space.
Recently one of my customers said to me during a home visit “the improvements is as much about what you don’t hear”
What can you connect to a Minimus Infinity?
Quite a lot in reality!
The only real limit to what you can do with a Minimus Infinity is your imagination!
You can connect it your amplifier, CD player, preamp, phonostage, DAC, router, streamer, computer list goes on and on.
Please do not underestimate the performance improvement you can get from your hi-fi with a ground box connected to a number of components. It genuinely allows you to unlock more performance from your existing system, the improvements in most scenarios are not subtle, the feedback I am getting from new Entreq customers is excellent across the board.
I am finding once someone buy some Entreq, it is not long before they buy some more! Says a lot about the effectiveness of it!
