AD8494 CJMCU – 8495 / AD8495 / AD8496 / AD8497 are easy to use J type and K type thermocouple amplifier.These amplifiers convert small voltages generated by thermocouple nodes into signals that can be easily read by an ADC or microcontroller.The gain from the thermocouple to the amplifier output is approximately 5 mV/°C.
The AD849x USES an on-chip temperature sensor to perform cold junction compensation.Thermocouples can be accurately measured over a wide range of ambient temperatures.
The AD849x has a built-in high-precision instrument amplifier.The amplifier has a high common mode rejection performance, which can suppress the common mode noise that may be picked up by the thermocouple with long lead.If additional protection is required, the amplifier's high impedance input allows for easy addition of additional filtering measures.
The cjmcu-ad849x supports a wide power supply voltage range.With a single 5V power supply, the AD849x can cover a thermocouple temperature range of nearly 1000 degrees.With a 3V power supply, it can interface directly with a low-voltage ADC.It can also be powered up to ±18V, supporting industrial systems that require a wide common mode input range.
The AD849x can easily measure negative temperature regardless of power rail.The 0°C output can be adjusted using the voltage on the reference pin, providing flexibility to adjust the AD849x output range to accommodate the ADC.
A stable input design can handle a variety of actual connection conditions.The cjmcu-8495 can withstand input voltage much higher than the power rail.For example, when using ± 5v power supply, the input voltage is guaranteed not to damage the device even if it reaches ± 35v.The minimum and maximum input bias current characteristics are helpful for fault detection of thermocouple open circuit.
