Up for sale my beloved Chord Electronics Indigo DAC Pre Amp and iPod dock. Made in the UK. Incredibly rare.
This is basically the following Chord Electronics and MSB units in one:
– Chord Electronics QBD 76 DAC
– Chord Electronics CPA 5000 Pre-Amp
– MSB Digital iLink iPod Dock

This is a great purchase if you are after a QBD 76 DAC or Chord Electronics Reference Pre-Amp or CD Transport. It does it all and YOU ARE PAYING LESS.
Note, this is the QBD 76 and not the QBD 76HD. The only difference being support of USB of up to 192Khz sample rate (96Khz on the QBD 76) at the expense of the Bluetooth Apt-X support. Note, QBD 76 still support 192Khz sample rate via SPDIF (optical or coax) as well as the Double the frequency (384Khz) via 2 optical or coaxial cables.
The iPod Dock is a technology licensed from MSB and is mind-blowing. It basically rivals the Chord Electronics Reference series CD Transports (aka Red) and Choral Blu in a more convenient usability of the iPod.
I adore the Indigo, however have managed to source an MSB Digital iLink in immaculate condition and put together a system with a more recent DAC (Dave) and all-tube Pre Amp – basically my dream setup. Hence this system is now sitting unused. In my view the Indigo sounds better than the Dave on it’s own.
You are buying:
– Indigo with upgraded power chord
– One specially modified iPod (your choice of Black or White)
The iPods have been originally modified by Chord Electronics and further upgraded to 256Gb SSD, which allows to store over 350 CDs on each without any data loss – i.e. exact copy of the CD. In case you need more iPods you can simply contact MSB technologies and they would modify an iPod you supply them with for $300.
