Celestion UL6 Bookshelf Monitors
Having won the HI-FI Choice Awards as Loudspeaker of the Year when it was introduced, the UL6 is a beautifully made, high quality bookshelf monitor.
The sound quality is overwhelming for such a small unit. The bass driver uses a heavy Hex-copper coil and is assisted by an A.B.R (Auxiliary Bass Radiator) for warm, rich bass extension. The treble register is handled by the high specification Celestion HF1000 tweeter, a tweeter that was used by many other quality British manufacturers in the late 70s and early 80s.
This pair is in good working order, speaker surround rubbers are excellent with no cracking or flaking, grills are in perfect condition. Some minor marks/dings to the cabinets (consistent with age) from a non-smoking, pet free household.
The stands in the photos are included in the sale, ONLY IF BUYER PAYS FULL PRICE, speakers are unattached to stands, just sat on them on rubber pads, however the stands are missing their floor spikes.
Great pair of speakers that I regret having to sell, however I no longer own a suitable amplifier.
