One tweeter has beenreplaced.New gold plated posts have been fitted.The lovely walnut veneer has been refinishedand looks superb. There is a small dent on one edge which is only visible onclose inspection.Although large enough to be floor mountedthose in the know reckon they are best lifted six inches or mounted on anacoustic isolation pad. If you would like a pair of these special pads I cansupply them at 30 the pair.I have replaced the grille material withappropriate acoustically transparent black cloth as used by the majormanufacturers of superior speakers and supplied by Falcon Acoustics.The Legend that is Celestion DittonThe early days were in 1924 and the30s with the development of a free edge speaker cone which was immediatelypatented. Since then the company has used the latest technology to improve itsproducts, notably in the 70s. Some ofthose developments are a secret to this day! All their domestic speakers andguitar speakers are worthy of praise. Some grabbed the reviewers attentionmore than others, like the 10, the 15, the 44 and the 66.
