As you’d expect from the Cambridge Audio Azur range, the 351C has a class-leading technical spec. A Wolfson WM8728 DAC is coupled to a 2-pole Sallen-Key Butterworth filter. The result is a warm, fluid performance with measurable purity and detail. Furthermore, a highly accurate master clock oscillator and impedance-matched clock buffering schemes further contribute to the amount of data it is possible to extract from a CD.Toroidal power supply
Like its 351A amplifier partner, the 351C also benefits from a toroidal transformer, which offers much lower noise than lower cost laminate transformers, more usual at this price level. Just as important to a CD’s sound quality is the transport. The 351 is coupled to Cambridge Audio’s third generation proprietary S3 servo, which dynamically adjusts the focussing, tracking and output level of the laser to enable maximum data retrieval. This guarantees extremely low jitter and delivers amazingly dynamic sound.Class-leading case build
