Normally, it would ONLY be possible to use a BeoLab 3500 Link room speaker with a B&O music and/or video system. These cables now allow you to use the speaker as a ‘stand-alone’ product, such as a sound bar for a television. Simply connect your digital music player or PC etc. using the 3.5mm jack plug (earphones / audio OUT connection) at one end and your Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 3500 at the other (PowerLink/PL socket). The 3.5mm connection is the standard size used on most equipment, to include the various Apple devices, PC/Laptop sound cards and many others. You can also connect other equipment that uses a 3.5mm connection. These cables are produced to an incredibly high standard, using metal Neutrik 3.5 mm jack connector made from nickel plated brass, B&O MCL 7-Pin plug and studio quality low-loss oxygen free quadruple screened cable for excellent sound quality over short or long distances. Connect the Bang & Olufsen ‘PowerLink’ 8-pin DIN plug to your BeoLab 3500’s ‘PowerLink/PL’ socket, select PL-Aux mode as your source and you are ready to enjoy your music through your Bang & Olufsen link speaker.Please note that you do require a Bang & Olufsen remote control e.g. BeoLink 1000 terminal, Beo4 etc. to access and control your BeoLab 3500. Instructions are included with the cable for switching on, selection of the PL-AUX source. Naturally, the remote control is also used to switch off to standby. Note: Please ensure that your BeoLab 3500 is a Mk2 with ‘PowerLink/PL’ 8-Pin socket and that the music player/equipment has a 3.5mm headphones/audio OUT socket. The MasterLink connection on the BeoLab 3500 is not required and the socket is left unoccupied.
