Here is a pair of kit made speakers using predominantly KEF drivers and to Cambridge Audio R50 design.
The speaker kits were supplied by Badger Sound Services and these were the company’s top option, the SC1. These speakers look superb and will make a big statement in any room. The grills are in excellent condition. The cabinets are all extremely sound, but the rosewood veneer is bubbling in places (I believe over the screws used to construct the cabinets), particularly on one speaker. This is quite significant, but impossible to show on the pictures.
I am not asking much for these speakers, as I realise they have limited appeal when they can only be collected (there is no way these can be posted… just too heavy). I am asking effectively the value of the drivers and no more. I am loath to strip out the drivers and keen that the speakers should be sold complete. However, I will list them whole for a couple of weeks and then relist just the drivers if there are no takers for the complete unit.
I have powered up these speakers and they sound suitably impressive.
Be aware that I’m often driving around the UK, and if you are happy to wait a week or two, it may well be that I can drive and meet you somewhere convenient. If this is of interest, please make contact before buying.
