A rather nice example of the Ariston RD40 turntable with Jelco SA-250ST tonearm with custom Easy VTA mount (Divine Audio), Ortofon Super OM20 and Ariston isolation base/cover a somewhat rare combination. The interconnect is a custom Van Damme cable. The drive belt is less than four years old and is the correct square section type.
A real statement piece as well as a damn good turntable. In very nice condition as can be seen by the brightwork and paintwork. Stands close inspection and presents really well for a turntable of the 90s.
The isolation base has adjustable feet and a replacement lid about three years ago, so is free of scratches or cracks just some light polishing marks. There is a little distortion to the acrylic at the back caused by the hinges.
The Jelco tonearm is in great condition. It comes with Divine Audios Easy VTA mount, allowing precise adjustment. Fits perfectly and works great. The fitted Ortofon Super OM20 cartridge has less than 30 hours of play time, so tons of life left in it. A great combination.
A rare opportunity to acquire this well respected and classic turntable.
Collection only on this.
Thanks for looking.
