Proper audiophile design with toroidal transformer.Good working order: all switches and potentionometers crackle free, no silent spots or poor switching. No input selector or volume control problems.Fascia very good except for an area of missing paint on the extreme right of the front; case has scuff and surface scratches on top panel and small dents, bottom panel is also marked and has a larger dent. ne rubber foot is missing. Inside in excellent condition.On the front fascia from left to right: input selector, record selector, volume, bass, treble and balance controls, direct bypass button, mono selector, Speaker 2 switch, headphone jack socket, power on with green pilot light. On the back from left to right: IEC “kettle” type mains socket (lead with UK 3 pin mains plug supplied), 2 pairs 4mm banana/bare wire speaker terminals (4-16 Ohm impedence), RCA/phono inputs for 2 tape loops, CD, tuner, Switchable MM/MC Phono input with ground wire screw. Sound is typical Arcam: smooth, powerful, excellent detail, separation and imaging with good placement of voices and instruments.
