Arcam Delta 290 Phono Preamp Module Upgrade PCB Board MM/MC
PLEASE NOTE THIS LISTING IS FOR THE OPTIONAL EXTRA PHONO PREAMP CIRCUIT BOARD….. NOT FOR THE AMPLIFIER ITSELF.
This circuit board was taken from my fully working Arcam delta 290. I no longer intend to use a record player with this amplifier so the Phono Preamp board (NOT AMPLIFIER) is up for sale.
One of the four op amp intergrated circuits on the board appears to have been changed in the past. The board is slightly discoloured where the old one seems to have overheated. The new device runs cool. This was not during my ownership. The replacement ic has worked for many years without any issues and I am sure will continue to do so.
Before removal the board was fully tested for the past week with a quality turntable and everything is fine. The board is easy to fit once the Amplifier is disconected from the mains. Carefully remove top cover and remove the screw holding the plastic blanking plate which blocks off the phono socket holes on the rear cover of the amplifier. Insert the boards phono connection sockets through these holes and carefully push the connector over the pins on the main amplifier circuit board pushing gently down to make the connection. (see last photo) Refit the screw that was removed from the back plate to hold the board in place. Reassemble the top cover and enjoy.
