A quality 1970’s record player by Alba. The blue cabinet, with its padded lid, is in nice overall condition with just a few age related blemishes.
It has a reliable BSR stacking 4 speed autochange turntable, which will play all sizes and speeds of record. The arm is fitted with a stereo compatible cartridge, allowing the safe playing of both mono and stereo records (in mono).
There is a transistorised amplifier with separate volume, bass and treble controls. This drives a front facing elliptical loudspeaker. The front panel also has a mains indicator and a socket for the connection of a tape recorder.
The turntable has been stripped, cleaned, lubricated and adjusted for correct operation. A new diamond stylus is fitted.
The amplifier has had a number of “tired” components changed. Testing showed good volume and an excellent frequency response, which is evident when playing records.
A double insulated mains lead with correctly fused plug is fitted.
It will be well packed for despatch, insured and trackable, via Parcel Force 48.
Sold as a collector’s item
UK only.
