Aiwa HR X-220 MD stereo system. I bought this brand new back in the 1990’s, but have inherited a better sound system from my Great Uncle.
Bad points first: The CD Player doesn’t work. It features a 3 CD changer which skips empty slots, but it currently doesn’t recognise that there’s a CD in any slot, and just keeps rotating looking for a CD. Aside from the peeling vinyl on the speakers (see photos) which is purely cosmetic, this is the only fault.
The remote control is missing (but may turn up).
The radio, cassette tape players, and minidisc player all work perfectly, and the original owner’s manual is present.
Collection only due to size and weight, but if you really want it posted I will… just be aware that due to size and weight, it won’t be cheap, probably more than the value of the stereo itself. Cash on collection only (or Paypal if sending a courier). DO NOT pay via Paypal unless we’ve agreed that I’ll post it, as they charge for refunds as well as for payments.
