This sub is awesome. In my opinion it is the best sub in this price range, The base in incredible, but the biggest advantage, in my opinion, is this sub’s frequency range down to 20Hz! It’s remarkable how low this thing can go. And without distortion. I did pack the box with foam insulation to create tighter base, and I have the volume set at about 75% and the gain set to near zero. For my large HT room, it works out fantastic. I don’t know how Sony’s new model subs compare, but I can tell you that none of them go down to 20Hz.
