Monitor Audio PL100, Santos Rosewood finish complete with stands.
Truly immaculate, cherished condition.
I bought these speakers brand new in 2014 to be used in a second system in an office/study.
Since then they have been covered with padded protective covers when not in use and used less than once per week in a smoke, child and pet free home.
They are truly immaculate. The lacquered finish is 100% unmarked, no dings, scratches, swirls… Nothing. Due to the high gloss lacquered finish they’re really hard to photograph to show the true condition.
The only tiny dings are on the base of the stands but not noticeable unless you get really close and look for them.
Supplied with magnetic front grills (never used), original crate, manuals, microfiber bags and tools (and brushed metal case).
Never driven beyond 30% volume and never used for more than 2 hours at a time. To be honest they’re probably only just run-in!
The Santos Rosewood finish is a beautiful bright red flame in direct sunlight and this particular pair has really nice figuring.
Please note: The only cosmetic flaw is a ‘line’ in the leather. It’s an ‘indentation’ approx 1 inch long on the bottom left corner of one speaker. I have purposely exaggerated it in the photograph.
I’m told this can be corrected.
I believe these are the best condition used pair of PL100’s available anywhere (including ex demo) and if you don’t agree I’ll refund you!
I demo’d the PL100 MKII and never considered trading in. They sound identical but the MK1 looks far better (in my opinion!). I actually believe MA cut a few corners with the MKII to keep the price the same 8 years later.
