Better than ever sound quality
Improving the sound quality of a class-leader is a tough ask, but that’s exactly what Marantz have done with the CD6006. Featuring a new circuit layout, specially selected components and more rigid feet, the CD6006 sounds purer and more accurate than ever.
Still putting sound first
At the heart of the Marantz CD6006 is a top quality Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC. Marantz has added its own HDAM SA2 output buffer and HDAM low pass filter stage, which are custom-designed to work to exacting standards, reducing noise levels and providing a highly detailed, accurate sound. The power supply features separate rectifiers on the analogue and digital circuitry for reduced interference between the two, while the casing has a double-layered bottom plate to virtually eliminate vibration.
Handy USB
The CD6006 also features a flexible USB socket. In addition to playing back WAV, MP3, AAC and WMA files from your memory stick, it’s also compatible with Apple iPod and iPhone devices. Once connected, your portable device will use the Marantz’s high quality digital processing, so improving its sound too.
Get more from your headphones with the dedicated output
If you use headphones for listening to your CDs then you’ll love the CD6006. Featuring a dedicated, discrete headphone amplifier, you get a low noise, dynamic sound from your headphones. A separate volume gain control makes it easy to get the exact level you want. The dedicated amp makes it suitable for a wide range of headphones and promises superior sound quality over your smartphone or tablet.
Fully featured
The large display offers up CD Text information and can be turned off or dimmed to reduce the visual distraction. Both optical and coaxial digital outputs are standard, letting you improve the sound still further with a separate DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor).
