CLASSIC SONY STR-V4L RECEIVER (AMPLIFIER / TUNER) IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION
This is a classic piece of Sony hi-fi history, built in the seventies to the high engineering standards of Sony of that time.
I am selling this on behalf of a friend who inherited the receiver from a friend.
I have tested this for a good length of time through modern high end speakers and it works very well indeed and sounds fantastic. The FM tuner in particular works very well when used with a decent antenna. The only issue I have found is that the magnet that holds the preset adjustment cover in place no longer works (I have used a small piece of bluetak to keep it closed in the photos).
Please note I haven’t been able to test the phone (turntable) input as I do not have a suitable deck to hand, but have no reason to believe it doesn’t work.
This sale is for collection at my home in Bath. I can’t arrange for delivery of this item due to lack of packaging and the fact the unit is quite bulky and heavy.
I cannot except returns so the unit is sold as is with no warranty.
