The iRAP Isolation Resonance Absorbing Platform from Custom Design has been specially manufactured from Custom Designs special Acoustic Steel material that they developed for its absorption and dampen resonance vibration characteristics. The ethos of the iRAP is to isolate your hi-fi equipment from the rack by absorbing unwanted energy or any static generated by racking.
The Isolation platform design is a sandwiched patented polymer between 2 sheets of steel (constrained layer dampening). The design converts the resonance to thermal energy through the creation of friction (resonance). The acoustic improvements from the platform are obvious, but also it is versatile so it can be adapted to any support system, that requires only 20mm of height.
By employing Custom Design’s iRAP you will hear the improvements to the bass depth, and improvements in the dynamic range and detail. In conclusion, the iRAPs are a perfect upgrade for any set-up.
