WHARFEDALE DIAMOND MARK 1 Bookshelf/Standmount Loudspeakers
Excellent pair of the original Wharfedale Diamond standmount/bookshelf speakers, made in England by Wharfedale. Walnut wood veneer effect wrap with black fascias. They comprise a soft dome tweeter, 4″ woofer and a rear facing reflex port. Cable terminals are raw cable spring clips.
All drivers working and in very good condition.
Fascias and tops and sides of cabinets are virtually unmarked. There are no scratches on the bottoms and because wall mount brackets were used; there are some faint marks on the sides at the bottoms where the frames of the wall mounts were. No fitting holes in the cabinets though. Grilles are in good condition with only one corner slightly skagged.
Impressive sounding speakers for their size sounding speakers: natural and detailed with surprisingly decent bass for their size. Great with vocals and acoustic instruments, but easy to drive with impedance of 8Ohm and 86dB sensitivity so they rock well too. Work best close to a rear wall either on a shelf or preferably on a stand.
