Acoustic Energy AE1 series II loudspeakers . Condition is Used.
I have had these speakers from new. I am afraid I have succumbed to the modern ways of compressed and streamed music so they have been in their box for 3 years, before which they were lightly used or stored in the box. I would describe them as in excellent with only a couple of very very minor imperfections that can only be noticed on very close scrutiny.
Namely: 1. slight indentation to the top of the cabinet on one speaker. I have tried to picture this.
2. small speck of something attached to one of the foam cones. (pictured). I’m sure this would be easy to remove but have elected not to try to remove or clean this as the foams are otherwise perfect.
The grills are fully intact with no rips or abrasions and stand up to all but the most microscopic scrutiny. again you might think they could stand a light clean but I wouldn’t bother.
They came out hibernation with a very few small specs of dust here and there, but again I am not an expert in cleaning such valuable objects and I have decided to let the new owner make that call. I stress that these are minor issues I am flagging for full disclosure and the speakers look amazing for their age.
Obviously they sound absolutely sensational but if you have searched on ebay for these you already know this!
I would prefer the buyer to collect so that I can demonstrate them working, or I can deliver a reasonable distance for the cost of the deisel.
They are supplied with the original stands, which are in excellent condition, original box and user manual.
