For sale is Esoteric P-500 CD Transport
Very good condition but comes with non-original Skandia remote When received, this player did not work because of the unsuccessful laser replacement
by user. Whereas the actual replacement was done well, the static electricity prevention shorting
link had not been removed and the player simply did not work. Further attempts to fix it resulted in
damage to the flexible ribbon cable and the laser had to be replaced yet again.
Post repair video is available from my hear-net-au channel HEREComes with non-original Skandia remote controller servicing all player’s functions.
Original Esoteric one (branded Teac) pictured will also available as an option for a successful
buyer for an extra $99 (under separate listing to be created on request).This unit features Esoteric VRDS (Very Rigid Disc System) and
famous Sony KSS-151A magnetically driven laser head.
Two digital outputs are provided; coaxial S/PDIF and optical TosLink.
Additionally, for user with Deltec’s Deltran DAC, a clock synchronising input
is provided, allowing the DAC to control the Transport and data transmission.
Last 3 pictures show this extra $500 mod and its wiring. It includes
extra stable clock inside the sealed black box module. More
