Sony TA-1055 Integrated Amplifier.

This amplifier is in overall good condition and full working order. As you would expect from what I would consider to be Sonys Golden age the build quality and choice of components is excellent. A suitable mains lead is also included. Has a built in phono preamp so can easily be used with a vintage turntable..
When I first purchased this amplifier a long time ago two of the front slider controls pots were damaged and had to be replaced. The originals were obviously no longer available so a very similar vintage type were used. These operate perfectly and without issues. This work was professionally done to a high standard. Two of the knobs (Bass and Treble) also are not original but do not look too far out of place. Please see photos. I have also included photos of the inside of the amplifier and as you can see there are no signs of overheated/distressed components or bodged repairs.
Please study the photos very carefully before purchase as they are considered to be part of the description. There are some marks to the woodern casing and front metal facia. The most noticeable of these are being pointed to by pencils in photo number two. In particular there is some loss of veneer on the front left hand corner (red pencil) that has been coloured with a suitable wood stain. There are also some marks to the top front facia edge. Nothing really bad
The amplifier has been checked over recently and given a clean bill of health by a audio service engineer who has been repairing / servicing audio equipment full time for the past 40 years. Once purchased; free technical telephone assistance would be available for this item if required.
Item would be very well packed and sent via DPD or UPS. Carriage by DPD or UPS to mainland UK is included in the purchase price. Highlands and Islands and areas not covered by DPD/UPS would incur an additional charge for Parcelforce delivery. Tracking would be provided once it has been dispatched.
I am happy to accept a return on this item within 2 week if any buyer finds the condition unacceptable. Please keep all of the packaging until you are happy and want to keep the item. It would have to be returned in the condition it was received. The purchaser would have to pay the return carriage. A full refund would be given on its return.
