A pair of adapted AR8LS……the original 8 LS vinyl boxes were in very bad condition…tears/chips etc….so I used a very good condition replacement pair of teak cabinets made by British Radio Speakers – 1980’s…. stripped out the old drivers and crossover and replaced everything with the 8LS parts.
The newly adapted speakers use the 6″ woofer and dome Tweeter from the 8LS together with the crossover and banana speaker connectors.
The resulting sound is accurate and faithfully adheres to the AR acoustic suspension design.
The cabinets are teak wood veneer with original grills in excellent condition.
Sellers note : If I had decided to sell the drivers separately they would have fetched at least 10-20 each so the asking price is very reasonable
