For auction is my super vintage Teleton amplifier, model GA-202. This amp is in full working order and sounds great. All the buttons and sliders work perfectly. It is rated at 15 watts per channel. This is the old rms rating, unlike the meaningless ratings which are often used now. It is capable of quite high volume levels.
The amp is in quite remarkable condition for its approximately 50 years. The silvering has worn on some of the buttons and sliders, and there is a little edge damage to the wooden cabinet. The fascia and trim are virtually unmarked. Unusually, the amp is offered with its original installation and operating manual. The manual is undamaged, with just a little creasing
The amp is well featured: There are inputs for tape, aux and the all important phono, which is switchable between mag and crystal type cartridges There are also switches for mono, hi cut and loudness. There are 4 sliders, left and right volume and bass and treble. There is an old style headphone socket. Please note that the inputs and speakers use the old style DIN connectors. I will supply an adaptor lead to connect a phono pair to the din input socket. The din speaker plugs are easily available
This is a great item and would make a great basis for a retro vinyl system. However it could be equally at home with a CD player and modern speakers.
This is a substantially built and very heavy amp, and the p&p costs reflect this. However, I am happy to offer collection in person from Southampton, or I can box it up should you wish to arrange your own collection.
