Radford SC 22 Pre-amp in full working condition with dedicated power supply unit and octal supply cable. In excellent cosmetic shape (slight deterioration on plating of control knobs. This is typical with these amps).I obtained this amp 15 years ago and immediately had it serviced and upgraded by Mike Davis of Woodside Electronics (who had at that time acquired the rights to Radford Electronics Ltd). Modifications included fitting CD pad to auxiliary input 2 and an upgrade to phono board. as well as manufacturing the power supply unit. This pre-amp has not seen much use since, as it was in a second system, in a guest room. I have used the pre-amp with 2 Leak TL25+ monobloc valve power amps initially and since then and currently, with a Quad 303 power amplifier. All controls function as they should, with no noisy potentiators.It is fairly rare to find one of these for sale on ebay actually ready to plug and play, as they are generally always described as spares or repairs, requiring a power supply unit, or requiring attention of some kind or other, sometimes at an unrealistic price, just because it is a recognised collectable classic. Bearing this in mind I have set what I think is a fair reserve, considering all of the above.I am selling this pre-amp and a few other hi-fi items (including the matching tuner for the SC22).
