B & O Beosystem, Beomaster 4500 Reciever Beomaster 4500 in great condition for its age and is fully functioningwith no faults There are normally a couple of age related issues with the Beomaster4500, which have been sorted with this receiver. The glass touch panel often through age loses its adhesion to the mountingbezel, so the glass panel becomes loose, and quite often this results in thetouch controls not functioning correctly, this was the case with this receiver,so the old adhesive was removed and the glass screen rebonded in place. Alltouch buttons now respond to how they should with only a light touch of thescreen required, Beomasters that haven’t had the screens rebonded, risk theglass touch panel falling out and breaking if the Beomaster is mounted on thewall. The other issue, is that the Lithium Battery cell is not a rechargeableone, this stores all the settings and channels…..but given that thesereceivers are around 30 years old now the batteries run down. In the case ofthis unit, the Balance, Bass, Treble and Loudness could not be controlled, dueto the battery running down. The battery has been replaced and now the receiver functions how itshould do, and won’t loose its settings even if left unplugged, and won’t require replacing for a good few years. The receiver integrates with all the other 4500 range of separates and Ihave the Beogram and Beocord available in my other listings if you areinterested.
