A Wonderful Example of a Linn LP 12. Which has been stripped down completely and rebuilt using many new upgraded parts. In fact the only original parts are the plinth, top plate, and the motor which is perfect, I just added a dampening ring to make sure ran quietly.An Akito llb arm was bought and fitted replacing the original LVX which had worn beatings, and there is an excellent condition Linn Asak MC cartridge with an estimated 2 to 300 hours use. They reckon a cartridge does up to a 1000 hrs when looked after.Then a new SRM Arm board , a new innovative Corian sub chassis (very inert material). A Cirkus main bearing and matching inner platter was sourced and fitted adding a new Thacker belt.A brand new vinyl cross brace which holds a new Hercules ll power supply so 33 & 45 speeds are easily changed by the switch on the top plate.All the suspension springs, bolts and rubbers were replaced with new (blue, trade name). The mains cable is new silver OFC with matching Silver plated tough plug. The phono cable is a new cardas star quad. This is all hidden by an SRM Silent base. All these upgrades mean this LP 12 is a very quiet turntable.Outside is in excellent condition being well looked after as seen in the photos. The outer platter is the original which has been highly polished as is the black ash plinth. The Linn clear lid and hinges were replaced about 18 months ago.This has taken me around 3 years to bring it up to where it is now and finding it quite hard to let go but Ive started on a different table now so……… it goes!!Sorry but U.K. sale only.No box Im afraid so pick up only although I would deliver it myself up to 50 radius of Wimbledon at fuel cost if that helps.Any questions please ask.Good luck, its a great sounding LP 12.
