For sale is a Philips cdi 205 interactive cd player. It powers up and display works fine however the tray seems to get a little stuck just before it fully loads the cd in, this is probably due to a belt that is responsible for opening and closing the tray however we are not certain if this is the case as we have not opened the player. When we loaded a disc in and pressed play no numbers came up on the screen just 2 arrows representing the play function which means that it may not read discs. From previous experience with Philips cd mechanisms this may be due to the same belt that drives the loading tray which may also pull up the laser assembly therefore it may just need a new belt to work fine. Again we have not taken this player apart and don’t know what mechanism it has or if it uses belts at all but it seems to be the most likely scenario based on previous experience with Philips cd mechanisms. Power cable not included.
