It’s time to let go of my beloved Tannoys.I would keep them but they are physically too big to go in the room I now need to site the equipment in.So since we moved house five years ago so they’ve sat in the loft ever since.
Prior to that they gave many years of pleasurable service from 1990 to 2013 and should continue to do so for a new owner. I used them with a Pioneer A-400 amplifier (50W per channel power).
These speakers are best sited on stands on the floor (see photos 1 and 2).I am including a pair of Target speaker stands to put them on (see photo 7).
One of the connection nuts is missing from the back (see photo 6).This is only a problem if you want a bi-wire connection (but I only ever used a single wire to connect them up with).
Although the original grills and badges are present, each grill has one of the attachment lugs broken (see photos 4 and 5).
The cabinets and domes are still in excellent condition.
