Here we have a used retro Dual CS 503-1 turntable fitted with an Ortofon X1-MC pickup. Not sure of exact age but presume it dates back to the 1980’s/1990’s.
The turntable operates correctly running at 33rpm and 45rpm. It’s been sold as being for parts or not working as the needle is missing so it’s not possible to test above and beyond the operation of the turntable itself.
Cosmetically everything under the lid is in good condition with the exception of some tarnishing on the pickup arm. This could be sorted out easily enough. The lid has no cracks in it but theres quite a lot of light scratches, wear and tear present etc. It is removable so can be used without the lid if desired.
Hopefully a new needle or a complete pickup is all thats required to breathe new life into this turntable.
There’s a lot of photos to look at to make up your own minds, I’ve tried to fairly highlight the actual condition of the turntable. I’m sure somebody will make great use of it.
