Cambridge Audio A1 v3.0 Stereo Integrated Amplifier – FAULTY VOLUME & CD INPUT.
It works but the volume control is faulty – when it’s turned just a small amount the sound volume goes loud.
And if turned down to zero it can go past zero and onto the loud setting as if the zero stop is broken.
I think it needs a new volume control mechanism installing.
Also the CD input has a loud “hum” when selected.
I couldn’t find anything physically wrong with it on inspection like a short etc.
But I could be wrong.
I tested it using a CD player in the other inputs and it didn’t make a humming noise.
I don’t have a record deck to test that input I’m afraid.
The case top has some marks on it – see pictures for details.
Sold as spares or not working with no returns.
Both channels work as do the balance and tone controls.
Anyway, payment is by Paypal unless you are collecting it then cash-on-collection is preferred please.
