Hi and Welcome to this auction. Here is my Pioneer S-c73a that i have had a while. The reason why the speaker is up for sale is that i am upgrading my entire system with a projector set up and these are no longer required. The sound with a Dolby Atmos amplifier is phenomenal, these speakers new are 349.00 and thats what i paid for it but unfortunately it has acquired a few war wounds scratches, knocks and marks (please see photos) from when i moved house not long ago but it certainly does not impair the sound quality of the speakers in any way. All serial nos have been secured and taken note of before the sale and invisible markings have been written on it as to avoid discrepancies and fraudulent goings on! Sorry if this sounds severe but some people will try anything.
I have set a buy it now price which i think is reasonable which reflects the condition of the speaker and a starting bid which is the minimum amount of what i want. Anyway thats about it, would rather have this item collected (to save you money) but i have no bother sending it through the post but it will cost. This speaker is not in the original box nor do i have the instructions but they can be downloaded from the internet. I thank you for your attention and if you decide to bid good luck. Coherent Source Transducer
Developed by Pioneer, the Coherent Source Transducer (CST) speakers match those found in the other 73 Series speakers. With the tweeter placed centrally within the woofer unit, the sound comes from a shared, coaxial central point, giving a clear and precise soundstage. The aluminium woofer unit is matched to a soft dome tweeter, creating the ideal combination of a crisp mid-range and smooth treble.
Active and passive bass units
To complement the CST unit, the Pioneer S-C73A comes with twin dedicated bass drivers. Both feature aluminium bass cones, while the active unit also has an over-sized voice coil and long-throw excursion for a taut, dynamic sound. The passive cone is driven by the energy in the cabinet, negating the need for a port. This increases efficiency, giving stronger bass at lower volumes. Also, with no bass port, the centre speaker can be located close to a wall or even inside a cabinet.
