Here is a Denon DR-M10HX stereo cassette tape deck. In common with the other machines from the same era that were made by Denon this features their full servo transport providing quiet operation. All transport controls are servo powered. Denon included their “music search” feature to this machine and when the forward or rewind buttons are pressed while the deck is set in the play mode then it will search for the next blank 4 second or over section on the tape. It will then enter the play mode again. A useful memory stop function is also included and this will set the deck to stop when the zero point is detected. The 4 digit counter can be reset to zero at any time by pressing the counter reset button. A 1/4 ” standard phones socket is fitted to enable Headphone listening.The rear panel features standard RCA input and output jacks.The sound quality produced by this Deck is excellent, its capable of making very fine recordings and pre recorded cassettes are replayed equally well. The sound is stable and solid with low levels of system noise.Denon also included a fine bias control, this is in the form of a rotary control.
The noise reduction system fitted is Dolby B and C.
The supplied photos show that the Deck is in excellent condition. theres little evidence that the unit has seen much in the way of previous use and the attractive brushed metal finish still has its fine satin sheen. The acrylic parts are in a similar fine condition. The top cover has only the lightest marks and this has been the result of another unit being placed on top of it, but they are very minor in nature and not easy to see. The Deck operates exactly as it should and when thoroughly tested was found to be free of defects. All controls and functions operate exactly as they should. The Deck will be retested before being sent to its new owner.
