One pair of Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 9 Active Loudspeakers, finished in the classic Black.

The BeoLab 9’s neatly filled a gap between the less powerful BeoLab 8002 and BeoLab 3 and the flagship BeoLab 5 when new, but leaned much more towards the performance of the BeoLab 5 in terms of ‘bang for your buck’. The BeoLab 9’s have a huge bass driver hidden discretely behind the cloth grille and really pack a huge punch when asked. However, they are warm and docile when playing music at normal volumes and really do give the best of both worlds. The acoustic lens gives crystal clear top end with amazing brightness and accuracy, and the middle is filled by a sizeable midrange driver – again behind the fabric grille.
I think ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ best describes the BeoLab 9, personally. They aren’t intrusive, they are small and compact, but they really are a high-end product which give some amazing sound. Just as you’d expect from Bang & Olufsen, of course…
These speakers were in the house of a gentleman who worked abroad most of the time so have seen little use.
Condition : In absolutely beautiful condition. The cloth frets are jet black, utterly pristine with not a single rub mark, pull or hole – and look box fresh. The tweeter housings are lovely – so the only thing I can comment on are some light rub marks to the rubber ‘fins’ at the rear. These are, of course, on the rear.. you will not see these unless you face the speaker against the wall. Hopefully this is not your intention as they won’t sound too great if you do that…
Functionality : In absolutely perfect working order. Fully bench tested and sounding superb. These really are fantastic!
Extras : These speakers come with a pair of UK or Euro Power Cables, depending on your preferences.
Shipping : Happy to pack properly properly and professionally using impact foam, shrink wrap, bubble wrap and transport tissue in individual boxes (one per speaker), and post worldwide. Please ask for a quote first though as rates do vary. UK shipping will be 79.95.
Conclusion : BeoLab 9’s are getting quite rare on the used market as people are keeping hold of them! They really do sound fantastic and look like nothing else. The very best design and the very best sound – that’s what Bang & Olufsen do..
