Rotel RCD-855 audiophile CD player for sale
This is an excellent example of a highly-regarded HiFi CD player.
It has achieved cult status, for example here’s what one “new” owner said:
“I paid $125 on ebay for a second hand one of these after reading some good reviews. It was money well spent, the player looks and performs like new, no dust inside so I suppose I got lucky there.
As for sound well I haven’t heard better on my gear. Loads of personality and detail. Very musical, packed with grunt (again to my taste).
Apparently it is easy to modify but I’m not going down that road. The player sounds great as it is. However for those who do listen for detail over the song this player is the perfect second hand buy. Its built far better than most of todays players (mainly quality German parts) so is destined for a very long life.”
Mine is in good condition (see the photos), with just some scratching on a top corner (unlikely to be visible on a rack or if the unit was stacked).
If you search on the internet, you will find lots more favourable comment on this CD player.
