A Fostex R8 8 track 15ips tape machine for spares or repair. I’ve had this for many years and have used it successfully in the past now seems to be not playing at the correct speed. It seems to be playing slow and varies in speed/pitch. It forward winds properly. It rewinds ok sometimes but then other times seems to be a bit reluctant. Also on the control panel there is one of the side brackets missing which attaches it to the R8. So if you use it in the upright position then the controls panel will need to be led flat. Also I don’t have an owners manual but I did see one on eBay recently for 8.99 (and I’m sure you could probably download one). I hope that someone out there will be able to do something with it.
