Focusing on creating high-quality sound housed in a smaller frame that comparable models, the TDL RTL3 speakers are floor-standing reflex transmission line loudspeakers. Because of the size and acoustic design elements of these TDL stereo speakers, they function well regardless of placement in a room, offering flexibility to home users who may want to tuck them out of the way or display them as part of a home entertainment system. These reflex transmission line loudspeakers eliminate the possibility of sound reflecting back into the speaker enclosure, producing truer sounds and warmth in the music. The TDL stereo speakers feature twin 172-mm bass drivers with loaded polypropylene cones and phase plugs with long-throw double-wound coils on Kapron formers. Soft dome, ferrofluid-cooled 19-mm tweeter units supply the high-end range on the TDL RTL3 speakers. These TDL stereo speakers are easily powered using an amplifier producing 20-120 watts per channel. Each individual speaker unit in this set measures 90 cm by 20 cm by 37.5 cm and weighs 21 kg.
