A very nice Marantz Cassette deck. I have just completed a full re-cap of this deck due to age. Any deck or audio gear of this vintage will be overdue replacement of all it’s E caps by now. So this one is 100% done, using top quality audio caps, better than the originals. It now has great recording and playback performance. I will include a basic normal tape with a recording made on this deck.
New belts were also fitted, capstan flywheel removed, lubricated, re aligned. Soft eject mech lubricated/ adjusted. I have ordered a new motor to be sure this deck runs for the next 30+ years, so if you buy, you will need to wait until this is fitted and adjusted. I will update this once fitted and ready to go.
Physically, the condition is excellent for the age, but someone has removed the 4 front corner bolts that are cosmetic only, and they used a pliers or similar tool, marking the face as seen. Otherwise it’s fantastic.
